How to become a member
We would be delighted for you to confirm your place in the Dallas First family by becoming a member of the congregation. We receive members every Sunday. If you are a member of another church or denomination, we accept the rich heritage of faith you bring, including your vows of baptism. You are transferring from one branch of the Church to another. If you have never been a member of a church or have questions about baptism, the Christian faith, or becoming a church member, the pastor will be happy to talk with you at your convenience.
In other words, to unite with Dallas First, simply let us know in one of the following ways:
Call the church office at 770-445-2509.
Indicate your desire to join on the Attendance Registration Pad.
Come forward during the closing hymn with the attached information slip.
See the pastor after the worship service.
Categories by which you become a member:
TRANSFER OF LETTER - when you have been on the roll of another church.
REAFFIRMATION OF FAITH- when you have been inactive in your former church for a while and feel the need to reaffirm your relationship to a church.
PROFESSION OF FAITH - when you have been baptized but have never joined a church. We ask you the vows of church membership found on pages 46 and 47 of the hymnal.
BAPTISM AND PROFESSION OF FAITH - when you have neither been baptized nor been a member of a church.
