At Dallas First UMC we are very active in the mission's field. In the local area, we have the River of Life mission retreat every year in July. Along with youth and adults from all over, we perform repairs on about 16 homes of people who cannot afford to do it on their own. We also have Blue Jean Sunday's where, after church service, we go out into the neighborhood to work for others.
We are also committed to continue our trips to Mississippi to help with the recovery from Hurricane Katrina, and are involved in helping to build a Bible College in the mountains of Iturbide, Mexico.
