PRAYER MINISTRY

PRAYER TEAM

Sunday mornings at 8:35 and 10:45 in the church library, and at 9:30 in the Barton Room, a few members of the Prayer Team gather to pray for the services, for leadership of the church, community, and government, and for other needs that have been shared with the team. Members are scheduled to pray once every month or two.  New prayer warriors are always needed!  You may complete an information form online, pick up a copy in the church office, or call Sharon Vinson at (770)445-6195 to schedule the most convenient time to pray.   For updates on our Prayer Ministry, click HERE.

World Day of Prayer

Observed the first Friday of each March with a service sponsored by our Women’s Ministry held at various churches in the community.

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER

Observed the first Thursday of each May often with a brief service in the sanctuary.  Lists of local, state and national elected officials are available so our prayers can be very specific.

PRAYER CHAINS

Two prayer chains, sponsored by Women’s Ministries, are activated by calling the church office or the first name on either list (Carol Barber or Jeanne Shipp), or any prayer chain member if necessary.  Brief, confidential prayer requests are passed along verbatim and are prayed for immediately.  An email prayer request chain and another telephone chain, on which names are never mentioned, may be activated by calling the church office, one of the pastors, or by filling out our online prayer request form.  If you are interested in joining one of the prayer chains, call the church office or contact Sharon Vinson.
