United Methodist Women is the name of the women’s ministry organization of the United Methodist Church. Any woman member of the Methodist church may become active in the group. There are no membership dues and no required number of meetings to attend. All women are invited to participate in Bible studies, special events, fundraising activities and any service projects conducted by the women of the church. Our purpose is threefold: spiritual growth, fellowship and support, and missions, especially directed to women and children.
At Dallas First, United Methodist Women take the leadership in ministries, which benefit the whole church as well as a variety helping agencies in the community. One small group (or circle) meets monthly for Bible study on the 3rd Thursday in the Barton Room. All women are invited to get-together quarterly for a special event such as the annual planning breakfast in March, the picnic in June, a women’s retreat in September and a covered dish luncheon in December.
